Ms Nikki (Owner/Instructor)
Nikki grew up in Walled Lake, Michigan and started dancing at 3 years old with her two big sisters. She started competitive tap classes at just 7 years old! A year after that she made Jr. Company and enjoyed performing at nursing homes, fairs, and other community events. A few years later she auditioned and made the Pre-Professional Travel Company at her dance studio! Nikki has danced at community events, Pistons games, Lions games, Rockers Soccer Games, in Los Angeles, and even at Disney! She became an assistant dance teacher at just 12 years old.
As an adult Ms. Nikki continued to teach dance and gymnastics classes. She also choreographed and taught the original Mud Hens Chicklet Dance Team for the first few years they had it! She has always had a passion for working with kids. She went to Madonna University and received a degree in Child Development & Psychology. She then went on to take additional coursework towards a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. She has worked in preschools, tutored students, and taught various enrichment classes.
Ms. Nikki is very excited to continue working with children while sharing her passion for dance!
Ms Aliyah (Instructor)
Aliyah grew up in North Kingsville, OH and started dancing at the age of 5 years old when she started taking ballet and tap. Her journey of dance turned into a passion of modern/contemporary and then transferred over to learning hip hop. This combination of dance allowed her to showcase every emotion and become versatile in anything she wanted to do. Soon after finding the perfect fit for her, she would go off to become assistant director to her home studio. She took her team and choreography to competitions, festivals, parades, and even to the Peridance Capezio Center in New York, NY. Aliyah has performed for community events such as the Columbus Arts Festival, All Ohio Dance Festival, The Cleveland Cavaliers, Dancing in NYC, Groove Dance Competition, and many other places around the US.
Being at RSDA she hopes to spread her love for dance to students of all ages and spread the importance of the arts to not only our students but also to their family and friends.
